I've found a new way to survive these terrible times by sorting my daily bear videos while listening to the Temptations--'Can't Get Next to You'. It's fitting of course, and damn those guys were good. I'm ready for a relaxing night.

In the woods today picking up trail camera cards, seems like I got a message from a bear. I call him 'big guy' and he speaks in clicks. And if I'm translating correctly he wants people to look past the chaos and not forget about the Epstein files. That's what I'm thinking anyway.

Of all the daily horrors this administration throws at us, the sickening trashiness occurring at the White House, flag poles that make no aesthetic sense, cement in the rose garden and now UFC on the lawn, though my woodland posts usually include a bear---yet again raccoons are meeting the moment.

Grateful today visiting my local rural hospital, it is just a few house votes away from GOP putting it into financial trouble and closing it... for now we seem okay. Overall we are too old and poor for GOP to care about. Worrisome. Springtime in the woods, 'big guy' arriving as mating season is on.
