I don’t think I built a pond good enough for the tadpoles to hide from the raccoons. I really tried. I don’t suspect I’ll have any left if a raccoon here comes three times a night and even just takes one. There’s just not that many in there.

BEFORE: Grey PVC pipes (cleaned) cut into about 2 1/2 inch length place all around the pond. this is one thing that I did today really I just bought it and asked the hardware store to cut it. they were happy to one thing I’m doing to try to save some tadpoles from the coming hands of raccoons.

here’s a different view of my back-side yard. My dogs are allowed in this space but you can see they’re getting better at not trampling the plants on the side yards anymore…. at least they rarely do so the plants can bounce back. It’s a Steller’s Jay looking for something probably a nest. #Birds
