Today's explanation for the Iran War (they shift by the minute) is that Israel was going to attack and so we had to as well. We were "forced" into war by Netanyahu. That's the definition of weakness - being suckered into a war of choice that no American wants.

The billionaires’ kids will pay no price. But American kids have already died for a war of vanity and choice. A war that will result in hardline leadership remaining in Iran and no meaningful impact on their nuclear program. A likely moral and strategic disaster.

This week I introduced the Let Kids Play Act with @deluzio.house.gov to get private equity out of youth sports. It's simple - kids sports should be about kids and what's best for them, not jacking up costs to make money for investors.

Trump is suspending sanctions on Iran and Russia, which will put over $15 billion in their treasuries to help them fund the wars against us. It’s stunning. We have never ever seen this level of war incompetence in American history.

The most sacred clause in the Constitution may be the war making clause. Our founding fathers are turning in their grave watching this Republican Congress allow one man lead us into a disastrous, incompetently run war.

In an age of creeping relativism, a universal moral law still exists. Threatening to end an entire civilization of 90 million people in order to bend a nation’s conduct to your will is grossly morally wrong. It is evil. And we should say this loudly.

Here's what I believe: no more business as usual in the Senate. We shouldn't be voting to proceed to normal legislation until Republicans schedule a debate and a vote and on a declaration of war against Iran. Let's see if Trump has the votes to authorize war. I bet he doesn't.
