To know the future, you need to know the past. If this senate was here 170 years ago, or 90 years ago, would we have seen what was coming?

This Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice has protected our freedom, and Delaware carries a solemn responsibility to honor them, remember them, and never forget all they gave.

Happy 302 Day, Delaware! Delaware may be small, but we show up — for our neighbors, in Washington, and even on Jeopardy! This state is strong because of the people who call it home, and I’m always proud to represent them.

When we attacked Iran, it was entirely predictable that they’d attack our regional partners and the hundreds of thousands of Americans who live there. The failure of Trump, Hegseth, and Rubio to foresee that and protect our citizens is a dangerous embarrassment.

Millions came here for opportunity. Millions more feel stuck and left behind. If we as Democrats don’t deliver real solutions to that issue, we don’t have a future.

I’m voting no on DHS funding. The horrifying killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti show that Department of Homeland Security is out of control, and Congress needs to put up more guardrails that restore transparency and oversight.

We’ll be voting all day—and probably all night—on Republicans’ party line bill to fund Trump’s mass deportation effort. Republicans would rather give ICE a blank check than support commonsense, popular reforms that law enforcement officers around the country abide by every day.

This is a dangerous moment for our republic. Tonight, I’m forcing a vote to block Trump’s slush fund, championed by Todd Blanche, from sending taxpayer dollars to people convicted of attacking cops on January 6th.

Good riddance to these two. Members who violated their oaths and mistreated staff have no business serving in Congress.
