Cycling through Winter Wonderland!

In 2025, I cycled well over 6,000 km. My bike maintenance costs were around €400 (which is exceptionally high for me). So, converted, I cycled for a little more than 6 cents per kilometer. So much for this, according to some, elitist lifestyle 😉

The more walkable and bikeable cities are, the more pleasant they are to visit and live in and the more healthy, prosperous and resilient they are. This visualization shows where you can walk and bike in Utrecht. The cycling and walking paths practically cover the entire city!
