What will be done to bring in more doctors and nurses to aid people? The Universal Health Plan Governance Board wants to prevent something we see in our current broken system, which is that people have coverage but no access. We need to improve access, and deal with our current provider shortage.

Sign on to this month's testimony to the Universal Health Plan Governance Board. The most important outcome is that this new movement towards a Universal Health Plan is successful. Value Based care was created as a band-aid fix to a failed system.

Based on what we can see? Oregon is likely to be the first state to transition to Universal Health Care. Truly! It's audacious to say, but it is tangible. There is a transition plan due to the OR Legislature in 2026. Health Care for All Oregon has been advocating for this change for decades.
