Why would British Columbia be advertising in the middle of downtown Portland to "follow your heart" to British Columbia, to work in their health care system? It's because our current "system" is broken, unethical, and leaves our clinicians with a moral injury.

Our health care is broken! The people of Oregon need to ban together to fight back against Medicaid cuts and build a better future together! HCAO, partnering with Indivisble East Portland is sounding the alarm. We need universal health care now. Join us June 7th at 3pm in Dawson Park for our rally!

About 1/3 of Oregonians say that they couldn't cover the cost of a surprise $400 medical expense. Universal Health Care is a concept: one where everyone can receive the healthcare that they need, regardless of their income, and regardless of their ability to pay at the point of care.
