Today, we celebrated more than the sale of a fourplex—we celebrated what’s possible when we align community investment, housing stability, and wealth-building opportunity.

When thieves went after our street lights, we didn’t wait. Our Public Works crews got to work—and locked in a long-term fix. We’ve now restored 26 miles of copper wire, or over 700 lights, making our streets safer for everyone who uses them.

I am proud to nominate Reginald Freeman as our next Minneapolis Fire Chief. Minneapolis aims to be on the cutting edge of emergency response, and Reggie will help us get there, while building on the excellence in service for which our firefighters are known.
