As Top Democrat on the Committee on House Administration, I'm leading the effort to protect our elections. I'm traveling around the country, meeting with colleagues in their communities to stop the president from trying to disrupt the midterm elections.

Scams targeting seniors are only becoming more common. No one should have to worry about being tricked out of their savings or personal information.   Let’s look out for one another and make sure our loved ones have the tools to stay protected.

When I talk to business leaders here in Rochester, they all share the same feeling, predictability is critical to their success. The Trump Administration brings nothing but chaos for our local businesses.

The SAVE America Act would make it harder for Americans to register to vote.   In rural communities, the nearest board of elections could be hours away. Traveling there to register is a significant barrier.

Here in Rochester, the home of Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony, we've been in the fight for the right to vote for a long time.   To find we are back in a place where those rights are being attacked is unimaginable.

Local election officials have proven time and time again they are committed to facilitating safe and secure elections.   We will not allow Donald Trump to interfere just because he fears the will of the American people.

I joined Talking Points Memo to talk about the real problems we should be focusing on with American elections.   Rather than chasing voter fraud that we know doesn't exist, we should be working to engage the 80 million eligible voters who chose not to vote in the 2024 election.

The more we shed light on Donald Trump's attempts to take over American elections, and the rights voters have, the less likely he is to succeed in silencing voters.   I talked about my work with the Committee on House Administration on Talking Points Memo.
