The Trump Admin paid a company $1 billion to cancel its offshore wind leases. They cited “national security” + “environmental” concerns. Literally days later, they removed a critical endangered species protection to allow unfettered drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Just mindboggling hypocrisy.

Apparently Republicans are fine with slashing the EPA by 20%, cutting water infrastructure funding, and eliminating cultural programs in our communities. As long as Trump gets his ridiculous ballroom and triumphal arch! This isn’t “fiscal responsibility.” It’s partisan BS—and completely tone-deaf.

In 1978, Congress created the Endangered Species Committee, giving it the authority to loosen protections laid out in the 1973 Endangered Species Act under extraordinary circumstances. Now, Pete Hegseth and Doug Burgum actually believe it’s their right to “play God” with endangered species.
