You may have heard that part of Upton Heath is up for sale. I am working hard behind the scenes to see how we can raise the funds to protect this precious landscape. We must make sure that Upton Heath is protected for nature and for our community.

It was fantastic to attend the Civic Thanksgiving Service a week ago today. A wonderful celebration of community spirit that brings together councillors, volunteers, organisations and residents from across Dorset.

Local people now have less say in new housing developments. As of May 2026, the new Planning Infrastructure Act means that any application for 150 homes or more is no longer able to go to a local planning committee.

I spent 10 hours on shift with crews from the South Western Ambulance Service and was blown away by their professionalism and compassion. Under huge pressure, they deliver expert care with calm reassurance. We must back our frontline teams.
