Getting a secure roof over your head is life changing. It was heartwarming to listen to a group of new residents who have finally been able to do just that. As part of our Plan for Change, we will build 1.5m homes and increase the number of social and affordable houses.

For the first time in 17 years, government will review how every pound of tax payers money is being spent. In the spending review, we will make sure public spending delivers our Plan for Change.

Our up to £1bn Better Futures Fund will tackle the structural causes of poverty. Working in partnership with impact investors, government will partner with local community groups to deliver life changing outcomes across the country.

The government will act to protect young people online. Our consultation on what those changes should includes closes on Tuesday, but we have already given ministers the legal powers to change the law quickly.
