New Democrats have outlined clear priorities ahead of the Nov. 4 budget. Canada needs substantial investment to create good jobs, build affordable housing, and strengthen public healthcare. Now is not the time for austerity—the NDP won’t support a budget that takes that approach.

The Liberals’ decision to repeal the Underused Housing Tax makes no sense. This measure was meant to curb foreign speculation in Canada's housing market and raise nearly $700M for public priorities. Scrapping it means giving up an important tool for addressing the housing crisis.

Canada Post announced they will be ending door-to-door mail delivery for 136,000 addresses, making life more difficult for seniors and people with disabilities. Liberals promised they would protect home mail delivery, but now they’re doing the exact opposite.

First bread price-fixing. Now fraudulent weight labels on meat. Grocery giants are ripping people off — and the Liberals are cutting the food inspectors who protect us. PM Carney wants to be judged on grocery prices. Will he act to stop the food monopoly from cheating Canadians?

Last week I tried to remove sections of the Liberal budget bill that retroactively deny compensation owed to Canadian Veterans. But the Liberals and Conservatives teamed up to keep the provisions in place. This shameful decision breaks Canada’s covenant with those who served.
