It is with great sadness that I learned of the sad passing of Tony Worthington, MP for Clydebank and Milngavie from 1987 to 2005. Tony was a great man and will be remembered not least for his work to secure compensation for the victims and families of asbestos related illness.

At yesterday’s Scottish Affairs Committee meeting, I asked how Scottish Colleges can be expected to meet the demands of industry when they’ve received a 20% reduction in funding from Scottish Government in the last 5 years, with a 27% reduction in staff, the lowest staff count ever.

It was great to visit Flourishing Faifley to congratulate them on securing £100,000 UK Government Pride in Place Impact Funding! Thanks to Tony & all the team for having me and I'm delighted this funding will help towards their ongoing plans in refurbishing the Faifley Pavilion.

The UK Labour Government is improving children's lives across the UK, including lifting 2,260 in West Dunbartonshire out of poverty. We need a Scottish Labour Government more interested in an education recovery programme rather than the same gimmicks & more SNP broken promises.
