The Universal Health Plan Governance Board is accepting public comment RIGHT NOW about the new universal health care plan that it is developing. The plan is due next September. HCAO thinks that universal health care will save lives and save money. What do you need in a new health care system?

TALK TO THE PEOPLE MAKING THE PLAN. Even if you are aware and highly involved with the work of the Universal Health Plan Governance Board, the process is long, involved, and confusing. Oregon is on track to be the first state to transition to a universal healthcare system, and the time is now.

Can you share an instance of when you wanted to give a patient a certain level of care, but their insurance wouldn't support it? Some patients, if they have a high deductible, and a high copay, potentially will wait to get a CT which would tell them that they qualify for surgery.
