Universal Health Plan Governance Board – March 2026 Summary Big Picture In March, the Board focused on four primary areas: 1. Policy Option Package for continued board funding 2. Administrative cost modeling and organizational structure 3. Reviewed revenue and reserve motions 4. Cost containment

Oregon is the only state to have a constitutional amendment guaranteeing healthcare as a fundamental right of its residents. There are many of us in the state that are completely fed up with our broken healthcare system. HCAO is committed to making this potential transition a reality.

What will be done to bring in more doctors and nurses to aid people? The Universal Health Plan Governance Board wants to prevent something we see in our current broken system, which is that people have coverage but no access. We need to improve access, and deal with our current provider shortage.

The High School Student Chapter would be honored if you would consider becoming a member of Health Care for All Oregon during our Membership May. Members are the backbone of our organization, contributing a minimum of $5 a month, or $30 a year.
