Some of my colleagues keep pointing to the 60-day clock in the War Powers Act as cover for this war. Either they haven’t read the law or they're hoping you haven’t. The 60-day emergency provision exists for one situation: if the United States is attacked. Iran didn’t attack us, we attacked them.

The American people don’t want this war. Congress didn’t authorize this war. And yet here we are. Trump promised no more endless wars. Now his own party is losing patience, his White House is scrambling for an exit, and 59% of Americans say it’s gone too far.

California’s coastline belongs to everyone and is NOT for sale. Our coast is not a bargaining chip to be handed over to Big Oil at the expense of our communities, our economy, and our environment.

We knew this would happen. When you pardon 1,500 people with nothing, no conditions and no monitoring, some of them are going to go out and hurt people.

When energy costs are this high, we should be doing everything we can to help farmers and rural businesses stay afloat, not cutting the programs that are actually working.

Your tax dollars just paid a French oil company to stop building American electricity, and the gas it’s being replaced with is getting shipped overseas to Europe and Asia. The Trump Administration is PAYING to kill projects that would have lowered your costs.

Trump promised to cut your electric bill in half. Under his watch, bills rose as high as 13% last year, hitting more than 80 million electric customers nationwide. Now his war in Iran is driving them even higher.
