Yesterday, we saw Scottish Power's parent company, Iberdrola, report on their massive profits from the first three months of 2026. Why should we let the profits from energy generated here in Scotland go into the pockets of an energy company in Spain?

We took our message across Scotland and turned some heads!

Juliet, from @cescotland.bsky.social, has got it right. Our energy can either enrich billionaires or empower our communities. It's up to us to get them to make the right choice.

There is no just transition without justice for workers. An energy transition without workers is no transition at all. It's a corporate takeover.

Stu from @fuelpovertyaction.bsky.social is right: The way our energy system works now is unfair and letting it remain so fuels the far right. The next Scottish government has to do everything in their power to boost community energy, manufacturing in Scotland and public ownership.

In Aberdeen, we saw all of the profits from our oil go to big corporations. We can't let that happen with renewables! We need good, union jobs for workers in Scotland and community-owned energy.
