1/ Together with @ecodiya.bsky.social, we visited the Ivano–Frankivsk region in Ukraine, where the Danish company Goodvalley (formerly Axzon) runs large-scale industrial pig farms. 🐷 In 2013, the @ifcorg.bsky.social approved the expansion of these operations.

1/ 🌱 In 2024, the EU made history by adopting the Nature Restoration Law, committing to restore all degraded ecosystems – forests, rivers, seas, farmland, and even cities by 2050. Now comes the hard part: turning plans into action.

💡 Waste incinerators are no longer eligible for EU money. Except via the Modernisation Fund. Wate incineration projects – mainly in Poland and Czechia – have already received over EUR 2 billion from this climate fund. And millions more could be thrown to the rubbish this week.
