You may never get the blinking neon sign.  But you do have enough information to take one honest step. There’s research behind your mental exhaustion: The Zeigarnik Effect. It says unfinished tasks and unmade decisions stay "active" in your mind.

Who gave them control over your life? You’re sitting there checking emails and playing back conversations like they’re the deciding factor. They aren't. You don't need permission to move on something you were already shown.

I used to think the roller coaster was the issue. It wasn't. 🧵 The issue was that I had spent years convincing myself things weren't as bad as they were. I had gotten incredibly good at functioning. I could still work, travel, and teach. So I told myself it wasn't that serious.

Comfort isn't always peace.  Sometimes it's just disengagement that became familiar. I had to confront this recently. I was still showing up, working, and producing. But internally, I had settled into "maintenance mode."

One of the biggest misconceptions about personal development is that the teacher must have everything figured out.  I thought I needed to arrive before I could speak. I thought I needed to solve every problem before I could offer insight.

Have you ever known exactly what you needed to do, but still couldn't make yourself start? 🧵 Not because you didn't know. Not because you didn't have the information. You knew you needed to make the call. You knew you needed to apply.
