Over 240,000 of my constituents rely on Medicaid to access health care. I joined the CEO of Northeast Valley Health Corporation, Kim Wyard, to discuss how essential Medicaid is to her organization’s life-saving work.

After the Rules Committee rejected my amendment to protect Medicaid, I proposed blocking cuts to Medicaid and SNAP on the House floor.

I’m back in D.C. ready to work with anyone to reverse the GOP’s extreme health care cuts and pass a budget that lowers costs for American families.

Today, I signed a petition that would force a vote to protect Medicaid and SNAP. Hundreds of thousands of people in my district rely on these programs to meet their basic needs, including accessing health care and putting food on the table.

It’s past midnight, and House Republicans have called us back to the Capitol to vote on their budget that rips health care, food assistance, educational opportunities, and more basic needs away from millions of Americans.
