I remember one time I got competition feedback that bringing anger into my dance wasn't appropriate and, respectfully: fuuuuck that You're a whole person and you are allowed to feel feelings even if they make other people uncomfortable.

Gentle reminder that your core includes your pelvic floor and diaphragm and if you're not breathing you're creating a dysfunctional movement pattern. It doesn't meant you're *doomed* or anything... buuuuut you're leaving some possible strength, mobility and ease on the table.

As a note: if this is a chronic issue for you, it might be worth checking in with your off-pole conditioning to make sure you're supporting your shoulders adequately. (For my members: one of your shoulder-focused flex class recordings should help too!)
